Training
Training is always carried out in small groups guaranteeing a high level of individual involvement and attention. It is supported by detailed hand outs and, on successful completion, a Certificate of Competence.
Training courses offered either at the customer's own site or in a special training facility in York.
Courses Include:
- ABRASIVE WHEELS - Approved for accreditation with CITB, covering the regulatory responsibilities of the Health and Safety at work Act (HASAWA) 1974 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998.
- SAFE USE OF POWER TOOLS - PUWER 1998 - Designed to cover safe use use of all kinds of popular power tools for cutting; drilling; boring; fastening and finishing. Covers electrical and battery operated tools.
- PAT - TRAIN THE TESTER - Training to prepare individuals to carry out Portable Appliance Testing in their own business.
- WORKING AT HEIGHT - Covering the provisions of the work at Height Regulations 2005, training focuses on different access equipment including ladders and towers with the inspection, erection and safe use of each.
- VIBRATION AWARENESS - Designed to promote awareness of the effects of Hand Arm Vibration and how to work with power tools in ways that reduce these.
- NAIL GUNS - European Safety Standard BS EN 792-13 regulates safe working with Pneumatic and Gas Fastening Systems in the workplace, particularly building sites. The course covers safe and efficient use of both systems.
